In a career spanning a quarter of a century, Alan Rowett has become one of the most experienced and versatile producers in British radio. It’s a career which boasts senior positions in BBC Worldwide, BBC National Radio and Independent Local Radio.

Alan has produced and presented programmes all over the world, and worked with all the major presenters in British radio including Steve Wright and the late John Peel, as well as many celebrities such as Diana Ross and The Pet Shop Boys. He was also the man who managed to persuade Sir Paul McCartney to present his only radio series to date for British and Worldwide Radio. He was also one of the Senior Music Producers for the global Live 8 concert in Hyde Park in 2005 and the Party At The Palace three years earlier.

With an encyclopaedic knowledge of all popular music from the last 100 years he is well respected by all who know him within the music industry. He has written many articles and books on the subject and appeared as a music expert on many radio and TV shows.

His passion for popular music is unquestionable and his true dedication has resulted in a vast collection of music which he began at the age of 8!
